Pet Hospice Care in Sutter Creek, CA

Pet hospice care is a type of treatment aimed at alleviating pain caused by an underlying illness, disease, or just the changes that come with aging. The goal is to allow your pet to live as calmly and comfortably as possible, rather than to heal the underlying illness. While getting pet hospice care, your pet may or may not be receiving therapy for the underlying illness or disease. They can be both complementary and stand-alone approaches to care.

While hospice care is primarily focused on our pets, we also want to help families and caregivers prepare for this life transition.

So, when is it appropriate to begin hospice care? When faced with an incurable condition, hospice care is acceptable when aggressive or invasive treatments and/or diagnostics are denied in favor of comfort care. Early intervention, whether after a diagnosis or when we feel we need a little extra help and guidance, ensures that we can deliver the best treatment possible.
